About Us

Second Chances reuses and recycles clothing, shoes, and accessories so that homeless and lower-income people feel confident and valued as they take their first steps toward brighter futures and, as a community, we can minimize the amount of apparel going into local landfills.

In partnership with 25+ local nonprofits and other organizations, Second Chances delivers free, empowering clothing to more than 1,000 people experiencing poverty, crisis, and housing instability in Cambridge, Somerville, and adjacent communities each year. We also reuse and recycle 300,000+ pounds of clothing, shoes, and accessories annually.
